Musical Composition: Man or Machine? The Algorithmic Composer

 The use of computers in the composition of music is a topic of controversial debate among scholars, musicians and composers as well as Artificial Intelligence experts. Music is generally thought of as an artistic field of human expression, which is seemingly far from being related to Computer Science or Mathematics. Contrary to popular belief, however, these fields are much more related than they seem.

Automatic watch

An automatic or self-winding watch is a mechanical watch in which the mainspring is wound automatically as a result of natural motion of the wearer's arm, to provide energy to run the watch, making manual winding unnecessary. A mechanical watch which is neither self-winding nor electrically driven is called a manual watch.
